About Perth & WA

Multicultural and prosperous Perth is consistently voted among the top ten “most liveable” cities in the world, with good reason. Bordered by the long sandy beaches of the Indian Ocean Sunset Coast to the West and the Perth Hills and Swan Valley vineyards to the East, with the glorious Swan River and Kings Park in the middle of the city, Perth plays home to a wide range of restaurants, bars, museums, galleries and top class shopping. There may seem little reason to venture out of town. A drive down the coast however, will reward you with world renowned vineyards, surfing, beaches, forests and walks, while driving North gives the opportunity for fresh crayfish, whale watching, camel rides, unique geology and a chance to swim with the beautiful whale sharks on the world’s largest fringing reef at Ningaloo.

Inland from the coast lies a vast and diverse array of wonders. Resources such as agricultural produce and mined commodities such as iron, aluminium and gold abound, strengthening the economy of the state as well as of Australia. The incredible natural geology, the wildflowers and the rich cultures of Western Australia make it one of the most interesting and enjoyable places you will visit.
