STA - Syosset Teachers' Association

The Syosset Teachers Association, Local 1596 (STA), is the elected exclusive bargaining agent for all full and part-time teachers, counselors, psychologists, nurses, tutors, and summer school employees in the Syosset Central School District. STA is affiliated on the local level with Election District (ED 19), on the state level with the New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) and on the national level with the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), and the American Federation of Labor-Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO)
